First time post here. I've checked the memories, but nothing seems to fit.

My period has been missing for upwards of two-plus months now. I've taken multiple pregnancy tests, all of which come up negative, as suspected. I am showing no physical signs of bodily changes that would indicate pregnancy. Although it is possible as my significant other and I have slipped up in the past when it comes to protection. I have not been on any HBC pills in close to 2 years, have had no significant changes in diet or exercise regimen.

The only thing I can think of is stress levels. My Boyfriend and I have been in roller coaster mode these past few months. My dog was pregnant (just gave birth to 8 beautiful babies). We've gained and lost roommates. I'm barely making ends meet.. etc.

Also: This same pattern occurred in the cycle that should have happened before my most recent period, which may indicate that one of my ovaries is out of commission. Is this a likely scenario? What could be the cause of that?

If the advice is to go see a doctor: I know! I just don't really have funds at the moment. What is it costing me to continue to put it off?

Any help is much appreciated.

thrift score

Hello hello! I've posted my past couple of apartments here - which i shared with roommates - but my husband and i recently moved into our own little place in somerville, ma. I've been working on it for about 6 months and, though it certainly isn't "finished", i think it's ready for it's saucydwellings debut.

this post will focus on the bedroom, studio and living room - the kitchen and bathroom still need a LOT of work.

Hiya - was wondering what y'all do if say, you find that one foot has swelling issues that make it much wider than the other. This hasn't been too much of a problem till I tried to get into my winter standbys, Dansko closed-back clogs. The right is perfect, the left is painful across the top of my foot. Can I wear 2 different sizes at once? Will I fall down and trip all the time? I realize I may have to suck it up and try a different style of shoe, but the regular clogs are the only ones that seem to fit me previously, plus I have plantar fasciitis/flat feet issues to deal with.

i had a casual interview today & i thought i'd take photos of how i did my hair, since i think this is the cutest i've ever done it since i got it dreaded. i was actually a little TOO fancy today, everyone at the place was wearing scuzzy t-shirts & jeans!

+4 )

as requested, a brief tutorial:

step one: pull hair back in a high & tight ponytail
step two: take a smaller hairtie & band all of the ends of the ponytail together
step three: tuck the end of the ponytail along with the band under & into the hairtie you used to tie your hair back
step four (optional): take straight pins & pin the side dreads down to your head to form more of a ball shape
step five: add some sort of scarf! i had a random piece of fabric that i used that was too short to wrap around twice, so i started at the back of my head, went around a little past where it started & then flipped it through itself.
step six: tada!

I haven't posted any pictures of my dreads lately so I guess I am due for a tiny update! Well My husband had crocheted a couple of my dreads and then he stopped, mostly because our schedules were conflicting and I would do them myself but I am FAR TOO lazy! haha so he does my dread matainence for me, what a great guy eh?!

Anyways, they will be 14 months at the end of the week and time is flying!! They are coming a long good I think. Some have joined together but I let them do that mostly because they were REALLY thin and I wanted them to be thicker so I have some conjoined twins & triplets :p

Now all they have to do is GROW GROW and everything will be 98% perfect! haha

I drink about 4 cups a day at work. I love it and am not going to stop drinking it, but I have heard that it can stain your teeth. Has anyone experienced staining of the teeth with prolonged drinking of tea? Is there something I can do to prevent it? I know this stuff stains my coffee mug, but a little salt take even the worst of stains away so I feel like just brushing my teeth would handle business also.

this weekend, i went to the beach. i meant to pick up some salt water while i was there, to pour over my head, or soak my head in, but i didnt have a chance to, seeing as it was DUMPING rain the entire time and i didnt dare venture towards that angry looking ocean.
if i really wanted to, i could probably just go buy some sea salt and mix some up on my own, but now wheres the fun in that?!

instead, im going to go to the craft store and pick out some clay and make myself some dread decorations.
i only have one, big ol' pink wooden bead. thats it. i want more. unfortunately, there arent many actual BEAD shops around here. at least not ones that sell beads big enough for dreads. =[

also, while i was looking through the "bead" memories, i didnt see anything specifying about removing beads and stuff like that. how many of you leave them in when you shower? take them out? i imagine most clay beads, like the ones i intend to make, need to come out before washing since water probably makes them more brittle, but i was just curious.

Hi everyone! I know some of you take apple cider vinegar and I was wondering if you noticed if it gave you body odor?

I told my mom I wanted to try taking ACV to help my eczema, but she told me had tried taking some a long time ago (just for health, she doesn't have eczema) and noticed it gave her horrible body odor. I said I would take at the most a tablespoon a day, and she thinks she probably had less than that.

I just wanted to know if anyone here had similar experiences before I started taking it.

Vest, Cardi, Leggings - Evans
Skirt - Me
Shoes - TUKs
Necklace - Next

Hey everyone! Haven't posted for a while, but I made this skirt today and thought I'd show it off here. My mum recently bought a lovely tweed tulip skirt from Next, and I so wanted it, but of course they didn't come in my size. So I decided to make my own. I got the tweed fabric from Ebay, in a colour that suits me (the one my mum got was brown mainly, which doesn't suit me anyway). It took about 4 hours for me to make, is unlined (because wool is pretty heavy/warm/opaque), and has a button and zipper closure at the back.

I probably wouldn't actually wear the knotted cardigan with this normally, but we are having our bathroom redone, and the new bath is blocking my wardrobe(I use a built in cupboard in the hall), so I had to make do with some clothes that were already in my room. Underneath is just a vest top, but I really hate my arms, so covering with the cardi had to be done. In future I will probably wear this skirt with a plain tshirt, tights and patent pumps, as opposed to the leggings, cardi and kitty shoes.

So, I just chased my 7-mo-old kitten around the apartment as she swallowed a piece of yarn, spaghetti-like. It was maybe 6" long? It was plain wool.

I've heard horror stories about things like this getting tangled in their little intestines, about surgery, and death. But I've also heard about them eating crazy things and being fine. So my questions:

1. Will she digest it, since it was just well...sheep's wool?

2. Is there anything I can give her to either aid her digestion or cause her to throw it up before it gets too far?

I did not know that to "dissertate" was an actual word. Meanwhile, this weekend I have failed miserably at my self-imposed task of A)not sucking and B)finishing my paper (B1)on time (B2) at appropriate length and (B3) making it good.

Tonight will be dedicated to more labor in the paper mines.

Also, the cat needs to shut the hell up.

has anyone tried using very-fermented kombucha as a hair tonic? if so, let me know how much you applied, how often, and if you noticed any difference. i can't imagine it smelling very good, though i have used apple cider vinegar, and the smell fades once my hair dries.

I have a lot of effin' dreads-even with my undercut! If I ever do another set, they're gonna be backcombed a little fatter.

Hi all,
Recently iv'e had the most itchy scalp and it had gotten the the point where i would scratch so much that it would bleed a little...not good at all hey. That also meant ALOT of dandruff and sore spots mainly on the back of my head.
However, i did a clean with baking soda, lemon, tea tree oil and salt and it was amazing. im not itchy at all and it made my dreads tighter and cleaner..pretty happy about it =]

So here are some pics of whats been happening in my life.

so i know that this is not fatshion related really, but i trust you fatties more than anyone else to give me good advice, and... perhaps some other people are interested in my question and have not had the chutzpah to ask.

has anyone had any experience with online dating? i know... i know... I KNOW. its online dating, but i'm SERIOUSLY lonely right now, and i have some (skinny) friends who have met a few great guys online and have been having a lot of fun. are there sites that cater to fats looking for dates? i guess if anyone has any general advice in this area... let me know!

thanks all, and love love love.

i am happy to report that the t-gel i purchased has helped me a great deal with my dandruff. lately i have been neglecting my dreads, just letting them be. i haven't palm rolled or crocheted in quite a while. maybe its only been a few days but it feels longer than that. they've been growing tons of loops this month. i hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend!

I'm currently breastfeeding my 7 week old baby and recently ran out of prenatal vitamins. The vitamins I was taking were just drugstore brand cheapies and I realize I could be taking something better.

So..what are your recommendations for a breastfeeding mother? Should I be taking any Omega-3's or vitamin D supplements? How much should I be taking? I live in the northeast and will rarely be outdoors with a baby and a 3 year old so I know I should probably be taking a vitamin D supplement.

Also, my three year old son is an extremely picky eater. He eats a few different fruits and veggies everyday so I'm not worried about that but he absolutely hates dairy (except ice cream). I'm just worried about his calcium intake/vitamin D so any recommendations for him as well are greatly appreciated!
